Spilling the (kombucha) Tea on Hormone Health

An afternoon (corn silk kombucha) tea ceremony, to encourage insightful discussions on hormone health and the art of syncing with your cycle.

On a grey, crisp day at the onset of autumn last year, the wonderful Tash Fry Kla and I united to host a dreamy afternoon.

We sat down with a group of incredible women to explore how incorporating fermented foods (and drinks) into your routine can offer a powerful boost to the body during the follicular phase.

We discussed how making simple changes, such as incorporating herbal teas into your daily routine, can be a great way to boost nourishment and hydration – especially as the colder months approach, when a cold glass of water becomes less appealing.

Herbs can be aligned with your current phase (follicular, ovulation, luteal, or menstruation) to provide added support throughout your menstrual cycle.

We love corn silk for its hormone-balancing properties, but there are many others that can be used too: nettle is suggested for ovulation, lemon balm and marigold during luteul and soothing ginger and chamomile in the menstrual phase.
